Milwaukee, WI. At the recent National Association of College Admissions Counseling (NACAC) Conference here last week, Single Choice Early Action was declared an acceptable option for university admissions.
Early Action (EA) and Early Decision (ED) application processes have been contentious issues in college admissions recently, with high school counselors and many students concerned that EA/ED limits student choice and erodes students' financial bargaining power, while some highly selective institutions assert that use of EA/ED is a competitive advantage to which they are entitled.
