FREE NCLB School-Based Tutoring

The Federal No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001 makes FREE after school tutoring available to qualifying low-income students at certain public schools.  Students who attend eligible NCLB schools can apply for FREE tutoring through their school. Once approved for services, families may select College Conections to provide tutoring to their children.

Why Choose College Connections?

PERSONALIZED ATTENTION: All of our tutoring sessions are limited to small groups of 2-3 students at a time. Small groups allow our trained tutors to work with students face-to-face and focus on their individual strengths and needs.

HOMEWORK BASED: Our tutoring program is homework based, so students need to bring their math or reading homework to every session. Rather than simply helping students complete their daily homework assignments, trained tutors target grade-level appropriate state benchmarks and teach strategies that students can use on their current and future assignments.

CONVENIENT LOCATION: All tutoring sessions will take place on school campus on regular school days.

AFTER SCHOOL: Each session is one hour long during after school hours.

STRATEGIES BASED: Tutors will focus on teaching learning strategies so that students will be able to learn successfully without a tutor.
